My Story

In 2002 I was considering buying a brand new, fully loaded, Pontiac Firehawk. Then I started thinking. I can buy a 1991 VR-4 for about 7 grand and put about 8 grand worth of mods in it and kill firehawks all day long. I mean all wheel drive, all wheel steering, twin turbo, power everything, and black. I also figured I could save a ton on insurance because it’s an older car. So I purchased my 1991 3000GT VR-4 back in 2002 for 6700 dollars from a friend and the modding began.

I have had my ups & downs with the car. There were tons of times when I heavily considered selling my car, but I’m glad I didn’t. Since I’ve owned my car it’s changed my life. I met tons of cool people, on 3SI as well as off of 3SI. I met a girl who I started a friendship with cause of our common interest in 3S’s and now we’re dating. I started a great car club (3SNY – 3000GT / Stealth Club of New York), which lead me to meeting and becoming great friends with Ray Pampena. I like to think that some how that all the events that transpired since I’ve owned the car eventually lead to or at least played some role with Ray’s decision to open Pampena Motorsports. Which in turn provided the means for 3S owners across the nation, to have one of the best tuners in the world tune their cars. Funny how things work out, isn’t it?
